About Me

I have been married to my military man for twenty-five years. Faith in Christ dramatically transformed me from a bitter and reluctant military wife to one who embraced the community. I am called to encourage other women to intentionally pursue Christ in military life.

My Beginnings

I began my marriage as a bitter, reluctant, and selfish wife who hated most aspects of the military lifestyle. I regularly made those feelings known to my husband who was serving on active duty. But, belief in Christ caused me to accept and embrace the military life and reach the military and their families with the gospel. I spent at least 30% of my life unpacking from a move or preparing for the next move. I partnered with my Air Force husband during his twenty-five years of service which included fourteen moves, four deployments, and two command tours.

My Story

Me and my husband believe our marriage was miraculously saved by Christ because of our choice to follow Him. I began a relationship with Jesus Christ a few years after I wed my military husband because of my involvement in a Bible study on Genesis. Now, me and my husband work with Cru Military as missionaries. I disciple and leads Bible studies for female cadets and young military spouses, most of whom are from Generation Z, so I understand the concerns of the new generation of military wives. Having come to faith through Bible study, I have now taught Bible study for twenty-two years and am a women’s ministry speaker in a variety of venues.

What Lies Ahead

I have been speaking on encouraging military wives to embrace their husband’s calling to serve in the military and on creating meaningful and joy-filled Christ-centered holidays for many years. I was recently certified as a professional speaker with Speak Up Ministries. I earned a Master of Theological Studies degree from Gateway Seminary and published a book with B & H Publishing Group called Another Move, God? 30 Encouragements for Embracing your Life as Military Wife based upon the life of the biblical character, Sarah.
